What started out as an idea that her mother pitched, quickly became a reality in the Spring of 2016. After a beach trip that Sheila had took in the summer of 2015, She came back home with the idea of what could be done with the Food trailer that her daughter Julie had bought, and that just happened to be sitting in the driveway waiting to be used. She told her about a frozen treat that she had fell in love with that went by the name "Snowball" (which was a Flavored shaved Ice concoction that had Ice cream in the middle) So, The mother and daughter duo put their minds together and came up with a menu with their own spin on the Shaved Ice Treat and came up with at least 20 different flavors, but with adding many different fruits and toppings. April 1st, 2016, Sheila, Haley and Julie opened their food trailer in the Food Country parking lot and the Start of "Honeybee's" began! Business took off, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the Frozen Summertime treat that was offered. 2 years go by, and they decided that they didn't want to only be a seasonal option, so food options were added to the menu in the Fall of 2018 and the Food trailer was moved to a different location so that there was no limitations of what could be put on the menu. Grilled sandwiches and daily homemade Soups were offered, with The most popular items selling out daily. No matter how much was made, everything that was offered seemed to be everyone's favorite for the day. From Chicken Salad Croissants, Potato Soup, Extra Large Banana Splits & Hot Fudge Cakes, business was doing great! Fall of 2019, The decision was made to sell the food trailer (and sweet shack) so that they could go on to bigger and better things, Taking a few months off to map out the next plan and focus more on catering. Now it's 2020, and They have reopened for business, But this time, with a restaurant style setting, and in their own community of Laurel Bloomery! (2965 Sugar Creek Road, to be exact)
